Where: Australia and New Zealand
Botanical name: Eucalyptus globulus
The term ‘pommele’ originates from the French word for apple (pomme) and is used to describe this veneer’s markings. They look like tiny apples or fruit, scattered across the surface. Depending on natural variations they can also be described as quilted. This painterly patterned finish is particularly evident in this untinted version where darker areas are markedly etched into the warm honey tones of the wood’s background colour.
Eucalyptus trees are native to Australia and New Zealand where they thrive in the hot climate. They are known for the distinctive aroma of their leaves as well as their variegated bark and wood, which often exhibits strikingly sculptural shapes.
Please note: since wood is a natural product, your Bark & Rock notebook truly is unique and is likely to differ in both pattern and shade from the photographs on our website. These are designed to be indicative of a given type of wood in general.Ships within 48 hours · Estimated delivery Jun 21 - Jun 26
