Vintage handwoven wool low pile Persian rug. Features kheshti mosaic pattern woven in soft earthy and pink tones. Shows a variety of small floral, boteh and tree of life motifs throughout. Boteh motifs are believed to symbolize a variety of things, including fertility, life, and rebirth. Some interpretations suggest that the shape represents a cypress tree, which is associated with eternal life in Persian culture. This rug is in good vintage condition.
