Our 1/8" steel plates are formed with a 3 dimensional shape to closely cover the organic shape of the unibody just above the subframe that is notorious for tearing out.
This set connects the vertical and horizontal planes in one continuous piece with a large surface area.
These may be installed without welding as seen on our instagram page by using 3m's panel bonding adhesive in case the airspace within the unibody has already been filled with OEM structural foam.
Or in cases where damage has already occurred, they should get welded in. If the body of the car is already torn, these plates may not sit perfectly flush. So proper repair should be made to the chassis and these plates should be laid over to support after the repair has been made.
