Lovely Kyanite gemstone oval pendant. It has a twisted rope sterling silver bezel frame. The natural Kyanite gemstone cabochon is a deep blue color. The stone has amazing sparkle and shimmer. It is bezel set, with an open back so the stone picks up light from every direction. Kyanite is a naturally occurring aluminum silicate mineral that typically forms as bladed crystals, and occasionally occurring as radiating masses of crystals. The name kyanite is derived from the Greek word kyanos which means “blue.” Gem quality kyanite has a royal blue color similar to sapphire.
