Recommended Use

Used in Herbal Medicine to help maintain a healthy immune system and to promote sweating (diaphoretic), to help relieve fever (in cases of common colds, flus). Supportive therapy in the treatment of upper respiratory tract infections (e.g. common colds). Helps to relieve the symptoms and shorten the duration of upper respiratory tract infections. Also used in herbal medicine as an adaptogen to help increase energy and resistance to stress (e.g. in case of mental and physical fatigue related to stress). Used in Herbal Medicine as an alterative to help remove accumulated waste products via the kidneys, skin, and mucus membranes in adults and to help relieve joint pain associated with conditions such as arthritis in adults. Provides antioxidants.

Directions

Adults - Take three (3) capsules per day at the first sign of infection or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. Take two (2) hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products.

Cautions & Warnings

As with any natural health product, you should consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use especially if you are taking blood thinners or if you are taking medications to suppress the immune system (immunosuppressive medications). Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you have a history of kidney stones or if you have a progressive systemic disease such as tuberculosis, collagenosis, multiple sclerosis, AIDS and/or HIV infection or an auto-immune disorder. Consult a healthcare practitioner if you have or develop abdominal pain, nausea, fever or vomiting or if symptoms persist or worsen. Stop use if laxative effect occurs. Do not use if seal is broken. Keep out of reach of children.
