Ceramic Top uses a permanent chemical bond to either bond directly to your boats gelcoat or topcoat, or a previously installed layer of Ceramic Base.

Simple steps to help you get the best results:

• If applying directly to gelcoat or topcoat, polish the surface to remove any imperfections.


• Ceramic Top bonds best to surgically clean surfaces. Use Gtechniq Panel Wipe and a Gtechniq MF1 Microfibre to remove all polish residue.


• Soak the application pad with product. Spread onto an area measuring no more than 2 by 2 (60 x 60cm) and remove residue with a Gtechniq MF1 Microfibre.


• Product usage The amount of product you will need will vary depending on factors such as the micro porosity of either your gel coat or marine topcoat. The requirement will be anywhere between 5.5 to 7ml/square meter (0.5 to 0.7 ml/square foot).

Using Gtechniq Panel Wipe and a microfiber cloth ensures a clean, residue-free surface. When applying, soak the application pad with the product, spreading it evenly over an area no larger than 2 by 2 feet. Remove excess residue with a microfiber cloth, and repeat the process across the entire surface. The amount of product needed varies depending on surface porosity, typically ranging from 0.5 to 0.7 milliliters per square foot.
