This kitchen trivet from Futagami's Home Goods range has a striking galaxy shape. Founded in 1897, Futagami historically designed Buddhist statues and altar pieces cast from solid brass. In 2009 a collaboration with designer Oji Masanori added a contemporary touch to the brand - Masanori designed everyday lifestyle items, using the same skilful brass casting techniques, combining tradition with modernity. This solid brass trivet from Futagami will add a stylish industrialist look to your tabletop, whilst protecting its surface from the heat of pots and pans.

Selector's Notes

Over time, the surface of the brass will oxidise through daily use, developing character and charm. It's original lustre can be maintained through the use of a polishing cloth.
