This iconic map by Mexican artist, Miguel Covarrubias, was a hand-painted bird's-eye view pictorial of the United States with parts of Canada and Mexico. Within the map, he shows natural features, mountain ranges, trees, industry, ships, fish, flowers, and domestic regional animals such as a crab in Maryland and a flamingo in Florida. Covarrubias received well-deserved recognition for creating his masterpiece which is apparent when inspecting the beautiful details of his map. This reproduction print was carefully remastered from a digital scan of the original 1942 map.
