The radio features an intuitive E2O Easy-to-Operate menu system, programmable soft keys, and NMEA 0183 input/output connections for integration with compatible GPS/chartplotter systems. NOAA weather channels—including weather alert—keep you informed of changing conditions, while programmable scan, priority scan, and dual watch functions help you monitor multiple channels efficiently. Since the GX1410W does not have a built-in GPS, its Distress Button will not transmit your coordinates unless it is connected to a GPS source. You will need to connect the NMEA 0183 (Green and Blue wires) from the radio's pigtail to the "NMEA Out" of your GPS unit.
