Installation Pro-Tips

1. Measuring Length: Cable length is measured from the tip of the stainless steel output end to the end of the plastic jacket at the helm. If you are replacing an existing cable, look for the length stamped on the outer jacket.

2. Avoid Tight Bends: To ensure the longest life and smoothest steering, route the cable with as few bends as possible. Never exceed the 7.9" minimum bend radius.

3. Grease Regularly: Apply a high-quality marine-grade lithium grease to the steering slide and the engine tilt tube once a season to prevent seizing.
