The Medi-Vac® Flex Reusable Suction Canister is a durable, reusable collection container designed for medical suction systems. It is used to safely collect fluids such as blood, secretions, and other bodily fluids during medical procedures.

Medi-Vac suction liners are equipped with two key components, a shutoff valve and bacterial filter. The shutoff valve closes off the vacuum supply once the liner is full to prevent fluid from backing up into the vacuum system. The Bacterial filter is designed to prevent aerosolised bacterial contaminants from passing into the vacuum system.

All Medi-Vac suction liners contain this bacterial filter which is situated above the shutoff valve in the lid. This filter is designed to achieve bacterial filtration efficiency (BFE) of greater than 99%. This means that the Medi-Vac bacterial filter can effectively reduce the level of aerosolised bacterial contaminants (average bacteria size of 3 micron +/- 0.3) passing through the filter by a factor of at least 99%.
