This is a gorgeous vintage Italian Millefiori glass bead necklace. The necklace features vibrant multi-colored handmade Italian glass beads that are excellent examples of the Italian's skills. The bright and colorful beads are graduated from 9 - 10mm in a round shape. They are still shiny and perfectly smooth beads with small gold beads and filigree bead caps in between. The Italians are famous for making these beads and glass pieces by fusing colorful cane rods. Millefiori literally means 'thousand flowers', because the beads look like there are little flowers and hearts inside. The necklace has a traditional barrel screw closure.
